It’s no secret that blogging has become one of the best ways to make money online in recent years, and will probably continue that way for a very long time. Blogs are free or cheap to start, fairly simple to set up, easy to maintain, and offer a great platform for sharing information with the world. Many people blog just for fun but most people these days want at least some profit from their blogging efforts. You can create multiple streams of income with your blog and doing so is probably easier than you might think.

Here are three simple ways to make money blogging:

1) Contextual Advertising

Your blog is probably already filled with links leading to other sites, blogs, forums, and wherever else — right? What if you could earn money every time someone clicked on a link on your blog? That’s what contextual advertising programs can offer you.

You would have to sign up to the program (almost always free) and install some code on the pages of your blog where you want the ad blocks to appear. When visitors click on one of those links, you earn anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars per click.

Some of the more popular contextual ad programs are Google Adsense, Yahoo Publisher Network, Kontera, and Text Link Ads — but there are many more for you to choose from. Just do some searching if you want more options.

2) Affiliate Marketing

There are thousands upon thousands of affiliate programs on the internet for just about any topic you can imagine and you can make money blogging by promoting them in your sidebar, header, footer, or within your posts. No matter the subject of your blog, there are probably several affiliate products that you can promote for profit. Think about ebooks, online courses, products, downloads, memberships, and services that your visitors may find valuable. Then search for affiliate programs that offer them for you to promote.

Make sure you choose targeted products and services that related to the topics of your blog – don’t plaster a bunch of unrelated ads all over your blog because if you do chances are you won’t earn any money from them. Instead, offer products and services that you know your visitors would be interested in. That will boost your conversion rate and greatly increase your earnings.

Search for compatible digital goods on Clickbank, Amazon, PayDotCom, Shareasale, Commission Junction, and numerous other affiliate networks.

3) Physical Products

You don’t have to stop at digital products; people buy plenty of physical products online too. You could join programs to promote everything from household goods, herbal supplements, beauty products, electronics, DVD movies, music CDs – and much more. Again, it’s important to target these offers to your visitors; promote things you know they already have an interest in because they are reading your blog.

Keep in mind that the amount of traffic your blog gets will likely determine the amount of money you can generate from it. When your blog is brand new you may not have the traffic needed to generate a lot of income, but that should keep increasing the more established your blog gets over time through your marketing efforts. Then, you should be able to earn money from your blog using the methods above and many others.

You are reading this right now because you want to learn how to make money fast online, I assume. Well, typically when someone asks me how to make money fast online I tell them it’s not going to happen so they might as well get that thought out of their head and not even try. The reason I say that is because when the words “make money online” combined with “fast” get stuck in someones head it’s almost always a recipe for failure and disappointment.

However, that’s only because they think they can just sign up for some sort of business opportunity and be making a full time income within a month or two. That NEVER happens! Don’t even let that possibility creep into your head no matter what you read on some sales letter. You will NOT earn money quickly on the internet by joining any type of online business opportunity, starting your own website, blogging, affiliate marketing or just about any other way. Those things can be great ways to build a long term business and eventually earn a very good living from, but they are not ways to make money fast. Yes, every once in a while it does happen but it’s extremely rare so don’t expect it to happen for you.

Alright, now that I told you what you can’t do to make money fast, I will tell you what you CAN do…

The first thing you could do to earn fast money online is to sell stuff on eBay, Craigslist, or other similar online auction and classified sites. We all have stuff lying around the house or stored away somewhere that we’ll never use again and it can often be sold to make some quick cash. You might think it’s worthless junk that nobody will want but one mans junk is another mans treasure. You could even hit up garage sales and swap meets to find stuff to sell online. You might get it for a few bucks and sell it for a large profit.

Something else you can do that make fast money online is do some freelance work or provide a service that other people will pay for. There are thousands of internet marketers, webmasters, and all sorts of other people looking to hire someone to do certain tasks for them. You can get paid for writing content, copywriting, web design, building backlinks, customer support, programming, SEO, graphic design, data entry, translation, blogging, marketing, or just about anything else you might be good at. There are people online looking to hire for all sorts of tasks. You can often get paid at least a portion of your fee up-front so it can be a good way to make money fast.

There are also some really good websites that you can join for free and get paid to do all sorts of tasks such as do free offers, take free online surveys, participate in free offers, read emails, play games, and several other things. If you need to know how to make money fast online then these might be exactly what you are looking for. You join them in a matter of just a few minutes and they are all free. Then, you just start doing the things they offer to earn money. Here are the top 5 that I recommend…

Cash Crate – Get paid to take free offers, join free websites, complete surveys, and more.

Fusion Cash – A very simple pay per action website that allows you to earn money by completing various tasks.

Project Payday – You can start making money today with this incredibly simple step-by-step system.

Inbox Dollars – Make money doing the same stuff you do online every day for free anyway. This includes reading email, shopping, playing games, and more.

Send Earnings – Pretty much the same type of stuff as inbox dollars. You get paid to read email, take surveys, shop, play games, and more.

With the 5 sites listed above as well as the other tips in this post, you should have no troubles making some fast money online. Don’t expect to get rich or retire off the income you make doing these things but you can certainly earn extra cash to help pay the bills or use for any other reason you need it for. Alright, now it’s time for you to get started on making some fast money. Don’t waste any more of your precious time. I sincerely hope this post helps you to make money fast.

There are more than enough blogs out there claiming to teach you how to make money but a large percentage of them don’t live up to that claim. Most of them post crap that doesn’t really teach anything. However, there are a few gems on the internet who really will teach you how to make money if you listen to what they say.

Below I have listed ten make money online blogs that I am subscribed to via my Google RSS feed reader. The only reason I stay subscribed to them is because they cut through all the crap and actually give useful information that teaches their readers how to earn money online, and sometimes even offline.

So, here’s the top 10 make money online blogs that I recommend, in no particular order:

1) Okay so I might have cheated a little bit by adding this make money online blog to the list because I am a co-owner of it. But we do offer a lot of great advice there so it deserves to be on the list. Not to mention, it’s one of the top ranked make money blogs on the internet so that has to count for something. Hope to see you there!

2) Grizzly Brears is a master at making money on the internet and he teaches others how to do it at his make money for beginners blog. I’ve learned a LOT from this blog and consider Griz to be one of my main mentors as well as a friend.

3) Court Tuttle is another person I have learned a great deal from about how to make money online and I consider him to be another one of my mentors. He has a very popular internet marketing blog and also co-owns the keyword academy with Mark Butler. They also have a coaching program that I highly recommend.

4) If you want to learn how to make money online with SEO then Ben is definitely someone to follow. He doesn’t post often but when he does writes very long posts filled with a ton of incredibly useful information. You’ll learn a lot from this blog and if you do what he says you will earn money online.

5) Allyn Hane truly is the “master of his own domain” at blogger illustrated. He has a personality that was born for being a video blogger and he knows his stuff. You’ll learn a lot of tips from his blog that will help you make money online and you’ll be entertained at the same time.

6) Jason Pereira is “The University Kid” who also teaches how to make money at home on his online business blog. He’s an entrepreneur who started his blog while he was still in school. Now he is a full time internet marketer who gives very useful money making information on his blog.

7) If you want to earn online cash your go to man is Frank Carr. His blog is full of great advice that will help you learn how to make money online. He’s also the creator of some products that are very helpful for internet marketers to save time and earn money.

8) Another person who teaches how to make money the honest way is Terry Didcott. He’s an internet marketing expert who also happens to be a great guy and one of my closest online business friends. He has no problem telling it like it is and he knows what he is talking about.

9) I bet you never thought a wookie named Chewie could teach you how to make money online, or did ya? Ok so, there is a real person behind the blog but I am not going to reveal his true identity. Sorry to disappoint you if you really thought it was a wookie. Either way there’s still a lot of great online money making information on this blog.

10) Last but not least, we certainly can’t forget about the controversial blogger, Lis Sowerbutts, who holds nothing back as she teaches you how to earn passive income online. There’s no doubt that you will find something worth reading at this blog as Lis likes to stir things up while she teaches how to earn money online.

Some of the internet marketers who run the above blogs are well known and some are not, but none of them are what people typically call “A-List” bloggers. And there’s a good reason for that… Most of the time those A-list bloggers don’t post content on their blogs that is actually useful for learning how to make money! Yes, every once in a while they come out with a golden nugget of information, but most of the time they just post fluff and hype that doesn’t really teach you anything, or re-hashed stuff that has been posted a thousand times before on various blogs. That’s not the case with the blogs listed above. Their posts are very useful. No, not every single one of their posts are amazing, but in general they very much are.

If you want to learn how to make money — and I assume you do if you are reading this right now — then you need to read the blogs listed above on a regular basis. And actually take action on what you learn. You can’t earn money just by reading blogs; you have to put the information into action. Well, they should keep you busy for a while so I will let you go for now.

Oh and don’t forget to also come back to this blog. It’s a great resource for you to learn how to make money. Tell your buddies about it too!

Dedicated to your success,
Trent Brownrigg

I had a few thoughts about new blogs I would add to the list here. I know that I spend too much time readings MMO blogs if anything, but hey, sometimes it’s as much about having fun as making money.

1) Paul’s Earn Money online blog is a new blog that is just starting up and showing some real potential. A lot of time these new blogs can be great to follow for newer people to the game because they go back and explain everything from the most basic concepts.

There are 2 ways to gain popularity in the blogosphere. One way is being social and the other is having high SERPS. The social way requires you to spend time socializing with other bloggers (mostly A-list bloggers wannabes). To be social with other bloggers, you have to have a social network profile such as facebook or twitter. There is also digg, stumbleupon and other social bookmarking network. I don’t really regard them as a social media. I see them as a media to game the search engines mostly Google. It is social because you have to contact other people to digg or stumble your articles, blog or post. And those people would likely want a reciprocal digg or stumble. The other way of being social is commenting on blogs. From my post on how to increase your page rank, commenting on other blogs help to increase your backlinks. It also helps to get you traffic if you make a thoughtful comment.

If you are not on the social media group, then you are probably trying to use SEO to gain popularity. The SEO bloggers just care about their backlinks. They just want their backlinks to have their desired keywords. For this to be possible, they do mostly article marketing and personal bookmarking. I said personal because they don’t contact other people to bookmark their article. They also do blog commenting, but the blog must be dofollow blog.

In my opinion, I prefer using SEO to gain popularity. My main goal online is to make money on the internet. The only thing I like doing as other social bloggers is reading other blogs. I love reading blogs that contains blogging tips. I read other blogs to get ideas on what to write about when I ask bloggers if I can guest post on their blogs. When I read the blogging tips blogs, I try to think about how I can incorporate make money into the guest article, so that it can be relevant to this blog, how to make money. Also, as I read other blogs, I usually come across blogs that are dofollow. When I see that I make sure that I leave a comment on that blog with my anchor text, and I either bookmark the blog or save the link in my list of dofollow blogs. I prefer building my own dofollow list because most of the list on forums or on blogs are popular, meaning that the blog will be well moderated to prevent spam.

I also like commenting on the unpopular dofollow blog so that I can be on the top commenter list. This is possible because not many people know a lot about the blog. So if I drop 2 comments and the comments are approved, I would be on the list.

I also like reading other blogs to know what is going on such as how much this blogger made last month or who has found a new way to increase their search engine ranking. I know that the group of bloggers that are focused on search engine ranking would say that I am wasting my time on other blogs because it doesn’t help me to make money on the internet. I would tell them, it is not really true. I am reading other blogs to get ideas about how to get backlinks to my blog, and that would increase my SERPS, thereby making me money. I am not looking to become popular. And moreover, I usually a reader and doer and not just a reader.
