How do you deal with spam comments on your blog? WordPress blogs are quite prone to spam comments, and your blog is quite clean. One way is captcha but, i hate using them. Have you tried Akismet?

This would be my second comments on this blog, if you approved my comments, of course. I found your blog from Stephan Miller’s blog. Then, I decided to click and see what you write on it. Really I love your post about it and the other one too, about being the guest poster on other blogs. I always commenting on dofollow blog, but sometimes, I leave comments too on nofollow blog, when I read, the post is good and insightful, in my opinion, of course. Posting comments are great tool to get backlinks, but sometemes, as you say, people don’t understand why we do this.
Probably they do, but as usual there is good, and the is bad.
Good wins for sure otherwise this blog will not exist.

I absolutely hate when people who obviously didn’t read a single word of of my post leave a comment.And its true they always start with “wow” or “nice”.My blog is new and without many readers so I just take what I can get.Hopefully soon I can afford to be more picky with my commenting.

Commenting is a good way to drive traffic atleast. I got good traffic through commenting. Moreover we can get to know other bloggers also.
